• 4:28 p.m.: A woman from the 100 block of Morrison said a truck was pulled up to a vacant home nearby and a man was taking items out. An officer responded and spoke to the man who was weatherizing and cleaning out the home at the request of a bank in preparation for sale. He provided documentation.
• 8:05 p.m.: A woman from the 200 block of Maplewood said her stepfather hit her and police were needed. An officer responded and spoke to the stepfather, who said he disciplined his daughter. No marks were observed on the female. The reportee’s mother requested that the reportee stay at a friend’s house in the 100 block of Marion for the evening. The officer transported her to a friend’s house.
THEFT: At 8:41 p.m., an officer went to the 500 block of Spring for a 94-year-old man who said approximately $3,000 and two rings were missing from his jewelry box. The victim and a witness said that a female tenant of the victim’s duplex is the culprit since she has stolen in the past and recently purchased a vehicle.
