STRUTHERS – The Struthers Police Department would like to inform all city residents that the following ordinance, 351.11, has been adopted. This ordinance replaces one that was similar in nature and helps to define what is allowable and what is a violation when it concerns a commercial vehicle and commercial trailer that is parked in a residential neighborhood.
It is the police department’s duty to enforce the city’s ordinances, and with that in mind, I would like to explain to the residents that the police department understands that arrangements need to be made to store vehicles and trailers in an appropriate facility. This takes time.
We will spend the month of November educating citizens about the ordinance and identifying violations. The department will address violations with warning citations. We will begin enforcing the ordinance on Wednesday, Dec. 1.
The problem has grown for quite a while and it will take some time before all violations are identified and corrected.
Any questions concerning the ordinance should be directed to the police department at 330-755-9849.
