STRUTHERS – Services were held at the Clemente Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 15, for Berylene D. Goodwin, 92, who passed away at her residence Friday morning, Nov. 12, 2010.
Berylene was born July 5, 1918, in Bristol, W.Va., a daughter of Ellis and Ida Hurst Williams.
She came to Struthers in 1951, where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker and also worked for a short time as an evangelist.
She was member of the Faith Fellowship Church of God in Struthers and served as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher, played the piano and sang.
Berylene married Oliver C. Goodwin on June 1, 1936, and he passed away on Aug. 9, 1993.
She leaves one son, Lester (Cheryl) Goodwin of Dunn, N.C.; three daughters, Loretta D. (Dale) Riebe of Youngstown, Phyllis (Steven) Vivod of Campbell, with whom she made her home and Brenda (Tim) Gore of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Lelia Flowers of Clarksburg, W.Va., and Irene Musser of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Berylene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Harold Williams; and four sisters, Ida Harding, Velva Feathers, Luci Davis and Tressie Winemiller.
Friends were welcomed before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
