STRUTHERS – Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 15, at the Kirila Funeral Home and at Holy Trinity Church for Emil Pavlicko, 79, who died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.
He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Struthers, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Gavalier Pavlicko.
He was a 1950 graduate of Struthers High School and served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 7538.
He worked at his family-owned business, Susko’s Garage, and Northside Market in Struthers. He also worked at General Extrusion and retired from PHD Manufacturing in Columbiana. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and loved polka music and playing bingo.
He is survived by his children, Pam (Scott) Raybuck, Paul (Debbie) Pavlicko, Joyce Bovo and John (Jane) Pavlicko; brothers, Albert and Steve Pavlicko; two sisters, Irene (Chuck) Brosko and Annie Zajac; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He made his home with his wife, Edna Kearns Faulk Pavlicko. He also leaves his stepchildren Jerry (Sandy) Faulk, Roger (Stacy) Faulk, Roy (Amy) Faulk, Teresa Faulk and Todd Martin, Amy (William) Fricker, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Joe, Carmen, Frank, Paul, William and John; and a sister, Mary Novak.
Visitation was held Monday at the funeral home.
