MADISON, WI – Mead & Hunt, Inc. and RPM Engineers announced today the merger of the two firms. They will operate as one entity under the Mead & Hunt name. For Mead & Hunt, a top 200 ENR design firm, this will provide offices coast to coast.
“We’re a good fit with similar culture and record of growth,” said Raj Sheth, President/CEO of Mead & Hunt. “RPM has talented leadership with a similar entrepreneurial spirit. Together we’re bigger, better and more diversified – it just makes sense.”
“In the past several years RPM experienced extremely rapid growth, while maintaining effective project management. Additional business planning and controls will support this level of continued growth. Mead & Hunt has systems and processes in place to manage growth and associated risk so that we can concentrate on what we do best – client service,” said John Barefoot, RPM Engineers. “Our clients will appreciate we are better together, offering more services and greater breadth of staffing and expertise.”
Collectively, the firm now employs more than 500 civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, planners, historic preservationists, environmental scientists, architects, technicians and support specialists from 22 offices located in 13 states.
“Both firms share the goal of providing value and innovative solutions to our clients’ problems. With a comparable culture and client commitment, it’s a good fit,” added Richard Plymale, Jr., RPM Engineers. Barefoot and Plymale will join Mead & Hunt as Business Unit Leaders and stockholders, as will several other RPM employees.
