‘Sonny’ of Elmo Tire Center retires

YOUNGSTOWN – Rolling them in, rolling them out: This is the typical day of work at Elmo Tire Center, a mainstay of automobile repair that has been around for the better part of a century.

Owner Anthony Elmo, known only as “Sonny” to many of his customers, has learned the ins and outs of many cars in his 71 years of working there, rolling out thousands of fixed vehicles (and happy drivers) in the process.
