Parkside Church takes scrap, buys Bibles

STRUTHERS – If your garage is filled with old scrap metal, now might be a good time to do some fall cleaning and donate the scrap to a local church.

Parkside Church on Poland Avenue started their “Scrappin’ 4 Bibles” program in the summer and, as the name implies, generous scrap squires can donate their metal hordes to the church for the sake of new (and old) testaments.

Parishioner Bob Emanuel came up with the idea after seeing so many people “going around with scrap trucks filled to the roof.”
