STRUTHERS – The Struthers Wildcats (3-2) fought back from a 17-7 first half and third quarter deficit in favor of Poland to rally with two more points in the final quarter, but time took over in the final three minutes and neither team could punch through for another score.
The last TD’s came when Poland’s Rossi picked up a 29-yard TD run early in the quarter, followed by a Struthers TD a minute later at the hands of Nick Pollifrone, who pulled in a TD pass from QB Gary Muntean and 6 more points.
Poland charged back with an 8-yard TD run from Austin Wilson, with time running out on Struthers, and Poland gained the final victory at 31-28.
