LOWELLVILLE – It’s been an eventful first year for Lowellville’s newest police chief, who has hired a slew of new officers and made plenty of community-oriented changes since he took the helm in September.
Now that the holiday season is here, Chief Ryan Bonacci has found some time amidst the exhausting work to do something for himself – and for someone close to him.
Bonacci said he owes his career to Joseph, his father, mentor and a longtime Youngstown police officer, who died in 2009.
“I had a very special connection to my father,” Bonacci said.
