STRUTHERS – Residents who frequent the city’s two Green Team recycle centers might be in for a surprise: One of them is closing.
However, Recycling Coordinator Shirley Sepesy said she requested a second large bin at the remaining drop-off point on South Bridge Street downtown to make up for the lost space.
The location near the old skate park on Stewart Street will close on Jan. 13, meaning the truck-sized, multi-section bin will be gone.
However, the dumpster-sized cardboard bin at the site will still be operational during the site’s normal hours.
