BEAVER TOWNSHIP – Residents can bring their pets to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, for low-cost spaying and neutering. Qualifying individuals include those receiving unemployment benefits, disability, Supplemental Security Income or Woman Infants and Children (WIC); and military veterans.
Proof of financial need is required for anyone else who applies. Applications must be made in person at Angels for Animals. The vouchers lower the spaying and neutering fee to $10 for cats and $25 for dogs. Surgeries begin Feb. 1. Vouchers will be available until the funding goal of $50,000 has been reached.
Angels also offers “Show Us the Mommy,” where mother cats can be spayed for regular price and her kittens can be spayed or neutered for only $20 each. Another program is the “1-2-3 for $45,” in which up to three cats can be spayed or neutered for the single cat price of $45.
