STRUTHERS – On Jan. 22, the Struthers Wildcats high school bowling teams traveled to Crest Lanes to compete against the Howland Tigers.
Struthers came home with three wins and one loss. The junior varsity Ladycats only had three bowlers but put forth a good effort. High scores on the boys’ lanes were rolled by Dan Demyan 229, Andrew Brabant 222, Dan Diloreto 220, Brandon Droney 226/192 and Jarrod Sawyers 183. High scores on the girls’ lanes were rolled by Kesia Hilbon 225/185, Abby Rowe 190, Deanna Mannion 158, Dominique Clapper 155 and Kaylie Thompson 142.
All-American Conference round one post-season for the girls began on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Holiday Bowl. They lost out to the Howland Tigers but will continue on to round two at Wedgewood Lanes against the Austintown Fitch Falcons next week. High games were rolled by Kesia Hilbon 201, Gneeve Thomas 164, Macayla Razo 149 and Abby Rowe 148.
