The jet airplane pictured above was donated to the city of Struthers and was mounted on concrete blocks in Mauthe Park for several years during the 1960s before it was damaged by vandals and had to be removed. The plane was dedicated in the name of S.Sgt. Cyril W. Bolash of Struthers who was was an Air Force waist gunner with the 454th Bomb Group, 778th Squadron during World War II. He was killed in action May 10, 1944.
