Officials and guests mark the dedication of the Meg Douglas Hamilton Hall, marking one year since its opening on Fifth Street in Struthers. The American Scholar Group’s dormitory houses international students who are attending Cardinal Mooney High School, Ursuline High School and St. Nicholas School. The hall was dedicated to Hamilton by Lisa Ng and her husband, David Ho, founders of the American Scholar Group. The dormitory was dedicated to Hamilton in her honor due to the positive influence Hamilton had on the Ho family. Hamilton was a friend and mentor to Ng and helped Ng and her family move to the United States from Singapore years ago. Her assistance in the Ho family’s American immigration and integration, as well as her friendship, were a major influence on the family and helped form the philosophy and objectives for their American Scholar Group.
