BOARDMAN – When the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave., closes at the end of the day Saturday, Aug. 11, it will remain closed until 9 a.m. Monday, August 20, so that an air-conditioning unit can be replaced.
The library branch has been kept open throughout the hot weather with a partially-working air-conditioning unit, while a replacement unit was on order. All parts have now arrived and work will begin this weekend.
The Library will extend due dates on items checked out at Boardman Library that would have been due back during this closed period. Extended use fees for items checked out at Boardman Library will not accrue during the days the branch is closed. As always, materials can be checked out and/or returned at any of the other public libraries in Mahoning County.
Book and media drops outside the Boardman Library will be available while the branch is closed.
The cost of the project is $53,000 and work is being done by Diversified Comfort Services, Inc.
