OHSAA Foundation Benefit Game Planned
The Struthers girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams will be hosting Youngstown Christian in a benefit doubleheader. The boys will play at 6 p.m. and the Ladycats at 7:30. All proceeds from the event will be split between the Ellen Becker Fund and the Doris and Ed Lancy Struthers Ladycat Girl’s Basketball Scholarship Fund.

It was the best grinding of yardage between two rival teams in Campbell and Struthers, led by a host of gridiron stars as they battled in their 82nd meeting under coaches Mickey Sikora of MHS and Dallas Saunders of Struthers.

Coach Mickey Sikora’s Campbell Memorial Red Devils traveled to Newton Falls last Friday night and the varsity chalked up their eighth grid victory of the season in nine games, outscoring them 28-6 by the end of three quarters, before turning the reins over to their fellow teammates.
