DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION: At 12:10 a.m., an officer saw a silver 2002 Mercury SUV fail to make a complete stop before turning onto Courtland and initiated a traffic stop. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested.
OCTOBER 30
CRIMINAL DAMAGING: At 11:50 a.m., a 49-year-old woman from the 300 block of Lourdes said someone had scratched her blue 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with a key from the front to the back on the driver’s side.
• 5:09 p.m.: Two officers went to the first block of Booker for a verbal argument. The situation was mediated.
• 11:56 p.m.: Two officers went to the 400 block of Tenney for a boyfriend-girlfriend verbal fight. The male left with a friend.
OCTOBER 31
POSSESSION OF DRUGS: At 1:25 a.m., an officer found a marijuana blunt on the floor in front of a back-seat passenger during a traffic stop. The passenger was searched and a bag of marijuana also was found. The man was issued a citation.
• 2:33 a.m.: Two officers went to a bar for a possible fight and found a verbal argument, which was under control. Police determined that the caller, who was also the bar owner, was intoxicated and overreacted to the situation.
• 3:25 p.m.: Two officers checked a vacant and unsecured house in the 600 block of Moore. No suspects were located.
• 4:01 p.m.: Two officers went to the first block of Piccadilly regarding a domestic dispute. A female party left prior to arrival.
• 9:34 p.m.: Two officers went to a car wash on Route 422 to assist Coitsville police with a driver with a suspended license.
NOVEMBER 1
• 12:03 a.m.: Two officers went to the 100 block of Tremble for a man knocking on a resident’s door by mistake. The man left the area on foot.
• 1:31 a.m.: An officer assisted the State Highway Patrol with a stop involving illegal poaching of a deer and stood by until no longer needed.
• 2:21 a.m.: Two officers went to the first block of Walters and saw two females talking loudly in the roadway. They advised that there was no problem.
• 11:06 a.m. Two officers went to the first block of Freedom for an argument. The parties were separated and the situation was mediated.
• 12:05 p.m.: Two officers went to the 100 block of 12th regarding a male being harassed. Police determined that the accusations were misconstrued.
• 4:10 p.m.: An officer went to the first block of Monette for unknown trouble called via 911. An officer advised the resident did not have an emergency but wanted questions answered regarding eviction.
• 6:11 p.m.: Two officers went to the first block of Bright for open burning and advised the residents that open burning is illegal in the city.
CRIMINAL DAMAGING/ENDANGERING: At 9:03 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the first block of 12th and spoke to a woman who said the garage door of a Greek church was smashed, but nothing was taken.
NOVEMBER 2
DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION: At 4:30 a.m., an officer saw a blue 1995 Plymouth Breeze travel left of center during a turn and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to have a child support license suspension and was arrested.
• 12:57 p.m.: Two officers went to the 400 block of Penhale for suspicious people at a vacant residence. The house was secure on arrival and no one was present.
• 4:10 p.m.: A fire truck and an officer went to the 200 block of Gladstone for a burning complaint. All was in good order.
• 5:33 p.m.: An officer went to Wilson near Coitsville Road for a possibly intoxicated subject walking in the street. No one was located.
• 7:35 p.m.: An officer conducted a business check at a pharmacy. Everything was in good order.
UNRULY JUVENILE OFFENSES: At 8:47 p.m., four officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Gladstone for a report of two unruly juveniles who left the residence prior to police arrival. The mother of the two advised that the two juveniles were staying out late, not listening to her rules and smoking and possessing marijuana in her home. The juveniles returned home while police were gathering information. The mother advised a report will be on file.
• 8:47 p.m.: Three officers went to the 200 block of gladstone for a mother not wanting her child home. The situation was mediated.
NOVEMBER 3
AGGRAVATED MENACING: At 10 a.m., a 51-year-old man from the first block of Bright said three people were menacing him. He said his son was robbed in a separate incident by people who said he owed them money. After his son went into rehab, the three began calling him and threatening him for the rest of the money. He was advised a report will be on file.
• 10:12 a.m.: An officer went to Lettie near a church regarding an intoxicated male walking in the roadway but could not find the subject.
• 10:39 a.m.: An officer went to 10th and Reed for a possible illegal dumping and found an asbestos removal team working.
• 2:22 p.m.: An officer went to the 500 block of Devitt for a possible garage being broken into and found that the door was just malfunctioning.
MISUSE OF CREDIT CARD: At 4 p.m., a man came to the station and said his debit card had been stolen and used to purchase an item online. The card was canceled and the man was advised that a report will be on file.
• 4:56 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the first block of Wilson regarding a daughter making threats. The caller was advised to call police if it happened again.
• 6:05 p.m.: An officer went to the 300 block of Porter regarding a man standing on the corner telling people he could give better gas prices. He was advised that he needed a permit to solicit.
• 7:28 p.m.: Two officers went to the first block of Monette regarding a male threatening people with a knife. The male took his medication and was advised that further action would be enforced if it happened again.
• 11:33 p.m.: The police canine unit assisted Coitsville at Hubbard Road and Johnson to assist with drug tracking.
NOVEMBER 4
• 1 a.m.: An officer saw an open garage door on Elizabeth Lane but was unable to locate a phone number for the resident.
• 2:26 a.m.: Two officers went to a business regarding a suspicious vehicle in a lot. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
