AUSTINTOWN – The Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Rd., will reopen on Monday, June 18, at 9 a.m., after being closed so flooring could be replaced. And on its first day open, the Madcap Puppet Theatre will present “Rumpelstiltskin” at 10 a.m. as part of the Summer Reading fun!
The branch has been closed since May 14 so that wooden flooring in the entrance and center aisle of the library could be replaced with carpeting and ceramic tile.
During the closed period, the Library is extending due dates on items checked out at Austintown Library that would have been due back during this closed period. Extended use fees for items checked out at Austintown Library will not accrue during the days the branch is closed.
Book drops outside the Austintown Library will be available while the branch is closed. And, as always, materials can be checked out and/or returned at any of the other public libraries in Mahoning County.
The project is expected to cost $39,908, with work being done by The Home Works and AFC Advanced Floor Coverage.
