Lightning Ignites Lowellville School Roof

SCHOOL FIRE: Firefighters from area departments assess the roof damage of the Lowellville K-12 School Campus, 52 Rocket Place, after a blaze ignited from a lightning strike at 5 a.m. Thursday, June 13. The building suffered smoke and fire damage from the blaze and subsequently water damage from extinguishing the fire, Superintendent Rocco Nero said. Administrators are currently estimating the cost of the damage. No one was injured.
