STRUTHERS – Mike Trolio was sworn in as the city’s newest full-time officer on Tuesday, July 23.

Trolio, 39, is no stranger to the department. With Struthers, he was a reserve officer in 1999 and has been part-time since 2001.

In 1999, Trolio started his law enforcement career with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office as a school resource officer at Adams Alternative School. He went on to be a full-time corrections officer in the juvenile court in 2002.
