WEATHER WOES: Construction vehicles dig a hole at a property on Jaric Street in Lowellville. S.E.T. of Lowellville was contracted to do $500,000 worth of waterline work for Aqua Ohio in Lowellville over the past two months, and the work might have been completed by now if it wasn’t for the harsh winter conditions.

LOWELLVILLE – Residents who have had to dodge construction vehicles in the village over the past few months might have to wait just a bit longer – thanks to Mother Nature.
Al Sauline, manager at Aqua Ohio, said his company contracted S.E.T. of Lowellville to perform water line maintenance around the village, but the winter weather woes have hampered completion schedules.
“It would have been completed by now if we had a normal winter,” he said. “We had hoped to wrap it up by the end of December.”
Instead, contractors are still braving below-freezing temps and icy storms to bring higher quality water to residents in a project worth about $500,000.
